LS 55 User’s Guide

Changing the Instrument Operating Voltage

WARNING

Any adjustment, maintenance, or repair of the opened, operating

instrument, must be performed by a skilled person who is aware

of the hazards involved (a

RESPONSIBLE BODY

).

WARNING

Switch off the mains supply switch of the LS 55 and remove

the mains supply cable before starting this procedure.

The operating voltage of the instrument can be changed by altering the
connections on the mains transformer, located inside the instrument.

1.

Switch off the instrument and disconnect the electrical mains supply.

2.

Open the main cover as detailed in

Removing the Main Cover

CAUTION

Do not change any of the terminal connections on the right-

hand side of the transformer (viewed from the front of the

instrument).

The mains transformer is located at the rear of the instrument. On the left-hand
side of the transformer (viewed from the front) are five terminals with the voltages
they each correspond to marked on the top of the transformer, as shown in
Figure 138.
