LS 55 User’s Guide
The advantages of this system over traditional Dewar flasks are:
•
Bubbles do not occur within the optical path since the nitrogen tank is located
below the optical plane of the instrument, leading to reduced noise.
•
Positioning of the cuvette and hence signal reproducibility are more accurate.
•
Cooling occurs more rapidly, allowing for improved sample throughput.
•
Fewer reflective and absorptive surfaces are located within the optical path.
Installation
Before installing the accessory, any filters or attenuators that need to be inserted
into the sample area brackets should be installed. Figure 108 shows the parts of
the Low Temperature Accessory.
