LS 55 User’s Guide

Accessories fitted externally (plug-in accessories) are detected dynamically; the
software responds immediately to accessories being plugged in or removed. For
more complex plug-in accessories (for example the autosampling accessory), some
initialization in addition to plugging in may be required before the software can
control the device correctly. The software will respond to control commands for an
incorrectly initialized accessory as if the accessory was not fitted
