Operation with discharge system – upgrade
kit 7037
Tests based on the standards 42 CFR 84 (NIOSH) / GB 2626
(SAC)
There is an optional upgrade kit available for tests based on the standards
42 CFR 84 (NIOSH) / GB 2626 (SAC). The upgrade kit includes:
• Bipolar discharge system
CD 2000 B
• Temperature and moisture sensors
• Special additional testing routines (scripts)
Switching on and off the discharge system
The discharge system is built into the test rig, above the filter chamber. It is
not accessible. The controller is located in the lower part of the test rig. The
discharge system is switched on and off with the switch on the controller.
Switch the device on and off only when prompted to do so during a software
test. If the device remains switched on continuously, aerosol can penetrate
the discharge chamber and pollute the electrodes. Polluted electrodes impair
device operation.
NOTICE
Malfunction due to polluted electrodes in the discharge system.
If the proper sequence is not followed when switching on and off the dis-
charge system, the electrodes can become polluted and operation will be
impaired.
4
Switch the discharge system on and off only when prompted to do so
by the software.
Settings on device
The voltage (Upos/Uneg) and current (Ipos/Ineg) are set at the factory and
should not be changed.
The settings for your device can be found on the calibration certificate for the
discharge system.
