6.6 Recordings Backup onto CD/DVD
The multiplexers allow users to backup recordings onto a CD or DVD. You can use both CD-R/DVD-
R and CD-RWDVD-RW. It is possible to create many sessions on one CD/DVD. The material is
copied into its own *.603 format. Files with such an extension can be played back on the multiplexer,
on a computer by means of
N-Viewer 3000
software or on any computer by means of CD/DVD player
attached to each a CD/DVD.
Notices:
1. Recording is not active during copying. You will be informed about it before you make a decision to
start copying.
2. Live Monitoring via computer network is possible but the refresh rate goes down.
3. Web monitoring is not possible during copying.
4. During the whole process of copying the front panel flap should be opened.
In order to backup recordings onto a CD/DVD put a CD/DVD in and go to
System Setup/ HDD
Backup
.
In the
Start
and
End
fields you set the time frames of the copied recordings.
In the
Channel Selection
field you choose whether recordings from all the channels (
All
) or from
particular channels (
Select...
)
are to be copied .
After selecting the range of the material to be copied press
CD/DVD Backup
.
The system calculates the size of the data and displays the info about available disk’s space. If the size
of the copied data is larger than the available disk’s space the recording will be carried out until the
whole disk’s space is used up. The rest of the data will not be copied.
Pressing
Yes
starts the process of copying. Progress bar and some messages will be displayed on the
screen.
Wait till the copying is over and CD/DVD Rom opens.
In case a CD-RW/DVD-RW is used for copying its contents can be deleted by means of
Erase CD-RW/
DVD-RW
option. As well quick and full erasing is available.
