4.6.2 UniLogic Applications for the Burle CCTV NION Plug-In
The Burle CCTV NION can activate a switch, preset or sequence based on any selected event through the use of
UniLogic.
To activate a preset from UniLogic, manually create two icons in the workstation, one with device ID “S,” followed
by a 4-digit camera number and 3-digit monitor number (i.e., S0012001), and the other with a device ID of “PR,”
followed by a 3-digit preset number and 3-digit camera number (i.e., PR001001). Both should be a camera
device type with a camera symbol. UniLogic will first activate the switch followed by the preset.
To activate a sequence from UniLogic, first manually create two icons in the workstation, one with device ID “S,”
followed by a 4-digit camera number and 3-digit monitor number (i.e., S0012001), and the other with a device
ID of “SEQ,” followed by a 2-digit sequence number and 3-digit monitor number (i.e., SEQ01001). Both shoud
be a camera device type with a camera symbol. UniLogic will first activate the switch, followed by the sequence.
Configure - To assign a name to a camera, select Set Camera Title , enter the text (max. 16 char.), and click
on OK to apply. Monitor titles can also be set with a similar process: select Set Monitor Title , enter the text
(max. 12 char.), and click on OK to apply.
Broadcast button - Enter up to 12 characters in the text box, then click on Broadcast , and the message will
appear on all monitors for approximately 10 seconds.
Print button - Enter up to 24 characters in the text box, then click on
Print
, and the message will print, along
with the time and date, to any printer or terminal attached to the Switcher/Controller printer port.
On-Line - The On-Line button allows the user to send selected protocol messages directly to the Switcher/
Controller via the NION. Activation/Deactivation of alarms in the relevant system is supported through the On-
Line session text box. For activation of an alarm, enter “+alarm #” (i.e., “+alarm 1) at the TC8500> prompt.
For deactivation, enter “-alarm #.”

NOTE: The user should be proficient in using direct protocol control of switchers and ptz
functions when using the on-line feature of this plug-in.
Device Addressing for the Burle NION
The Burle NION device address contains a capital S followed by the camera number, then the monitor number.
S<4-digit camera number><3-digit monitor number>
