4 Attach the cable management panel to the cabinet or rack between the
multiport aggregate device and other equipment using four of the screws
provided.
For proper cooling, you must also allow at least one vertical unit of space
between the multiport aggregate device and other equipment. The cable
management panel provides the required space. You can route cables
through the panel as appropriate.
5 Connect the power cables. See “Installing dc power cables on a multiport
aggregate device” (page 275) or “Installing ac power cables on a multiport
aggregate device” (page 254).
6 Attach the appropriate cables to the multiport aggregate device. See
241-7401-242

7 At the rear of the device, turn on the power switch beside each power
supply outlet.
8 Verify the state of the LEDs. After self-tests the PWR A and B and SIG
LEDs should be green. For more information, see the table “Multiport
aggregate device LED status display” (page 244).

replaced.
SYNC LOSS or AIS Any color Check the cabling. If necessary, run loopback tests
to determine whether the problem is with an
external device
