Cleaning and maintenance
Rocker circular saw 46-217 and 46-218
Replacing the saw blade
The saw blade is a wear part and becomes blunt after a long period of
use. Replace the saw blade regularly or sharpen it.
The signs of a blunted saw blade are discoloured cutting edges on the
wood or a burning smell.
WARNING
Risk of injuries to the fingers and hands by the saw blade!
When using the saw blade, fingers and hands may be injured as the
saw blade is heavy and can be slippery.
›
Wear protective gloves when replacing the saw blade.
›
Make sure that the saw is seated correctly.
›
Only transport the rocker circular saw in a tool carrier.
Risk of burns!
The saw blade is still hot shortly after the cutting process.
›
Wait until the circular saw has cooled.
›
Wear protective gloves when replacing the saw blade.
ATTENTION
Poor cutting performance due to blunting or unsuitable saw
blades!
When using blunt, damaged, or unsuitable saw blades, the rocker
circular saw saws slowly and the cutting surface heats up. This can
lead to saw blade imbalance.
›
Only use high-quality saw blades, e.g. made of chrome vanadium
steel.
›
Only use sharp and intact saw blades.
›
Only use saw blades which are suitable for use on the rocker saw
blade. Observe the information on the type plate regarding this.
