Fault
Cause
Remedy
The rocker circular saw does
not remain in operation.
The inserted wood
piece is too big or
knotty.

Turn or cut the wood
piece before inserting it
into the rocker.
The saw blade is
blunt.

Replace the saw blade or
sharpen it (see “Replacing
the saw blade” on page
72).
The pressure is too
high.
›
Allow the rocker circular
saw to cool down.
›
Press the rocker against
the saw blade with less
pressure (see “Cutting
workpieces” on page
66).
The inserted wood piece
jams at the front or rear
when cutting.
The saw blade is
blunt.
›
Switch off the rocker
circular saw.
›
Remove the jammed
wood piece.
›
Replace the saw blade or
sharpen it (see “Replacing
the saw blade” on page
72).
There are burnt areas in the
area of the cut.
The saw blade is
blunt.
