Rocker circular saw 46-217 and 46-218
9. Loosen the screw and washer from the flange.
10. Remove the flange with the saw blade.
11. Remove the saw blade from the flange with both hands.
12. Insert the new saw blade.
To insert a saw blade, proceed with steps 1-9 in reverse order:
1. Place the saw blade on the flange and face it in the correct rotation
direction.
The rotation direction is specified on the protective hood.
2. Tightly fasten the screw with washer between the saw blade and
flange.
Make sure that the screw is tightened and cannot become
loose.
3. Slide the locking pins out of the saw blade cover in order to release
the saw blade.
4. Put the rocker into the transport position (see “Transport” on page
69).
5. Put the washer and the nut on the driving pin.
6. Tighten the nut with a torque of 43.5 Nm.
7. Screw the locking plate onto the protective cover of the saw blade
using the hexagon socket screw.
Replacing the return spring
A worn or cracked return spring must be replaced immediately.
Assistance from a second person is recommended.
In order to replace the return spring:
1. Remove the plug.
2. Put the rocker circular saw into the transport position (see
“Transport” on page 69).
