Safety instructions regarding the workplace
›
Make sure that the working area around the rocker circular saw and
the route for transporting the wood back and forth are safe.
›
Make sure that the working area is clear of wood scraps, obstacles
and objects likely to cause tripping.
›
Do
not
level out the floor surface with sawdust or wood ash
otherwise there is a risk of slipping. Use an anti-slip mat if there is
a risk of slipping.
›
Do
not
use the rocker circular saw close to combustible liquids or
gases.
›
Ensure that there is as little wood dust as possible in the environment
when working and remove wood dust from the work area.
›
Erect the rocker circular saw on a level, horizontal and firm
subsurface which is not subjected to vibrations.
›
Ensure there is sufficient lighting in the workplace.
›
Ensure that you have a level area with safe footing and with
sufficient freedom of movement.
›
Only use the rocker circular saw in a dry environment.

Avoid unnatural postures.
›
Take the correct working posture. Stand in front of the saw and
always work with both hands on the handle.

Wear personal protective equipment (see “Personal protective
equipment” on page 55).
Safety information for working on the electrics
Any work on or modifications to the electrical equipment of the rocker
circular saw must be performed by our specialist personnel exclusively.
The rocker circular saw may only be opened by our service personnel.
Damage to the insulation or individual components may pose a danger
of death. Touching live parts results in a direct risk of death.

Check the rocker circular saw for defects such as loose connections
or damage to the insulation (for maintenance measures, see
“Cleaning and maintenance” on page 70).

In case of defects to the electrical equipment, switch off the power
supply immediately and contact the specialist dealer.
