Initial Energization

84

With all three (3) fused PT references closed, the following verifications may be made
using the SEL-735 Meter and SEL-751 Protection Relay:

L-L interconnection voltages

If L-L (or L-N) voltages are not within the expected interconnection ranges,
verify the PTR and CTR settings in the SEL-735 Meter and SEL-751 Protection
Relay

Frequency

Phase Rotation

For information regarding operation of the SEL-735 or SEL-751 for the purposes of the
verifications above, please reference to the SEL Instruction Manuals ay

ClearSky Plus Control Panel (Left) Setup

ClearSky PLUS Control Panel Verification Locations
The ClearSky PLUS Control Panel layout is presented in the figure to the left with the
number of callouts for the circuit breakers and fuses. During the Pre-Energization
checks, the callout circuit breakers and fuses were open.
1. (Installed) Leave the two fuses in with continuity checked
2. Close (by swinging up and pushing in the fuse holder until there’s a click) the AC
Source Fuse Holder, leave CLOSE

◦ Use a multimeter to verify the AC current existence

3. Close (by swinging up and pushing in the fuse holder until there’s a click) the DC Bus
Fuse Holder, leave CLOSE

◦ Use a multimeter to verify the DC current existence
◦ The system shall power up with LEDs from devices such as PLC, MOXA, Switch.

4. Close (by pulling the bottom and swinging up) the Circuit breaker, Reference Fuse
Holders
5. CLOSE (by pulling the bottom and swinging up) all three (3) low voltage output
Reference Fuse Holders
*Two (2) spare AC fuses are included in the orange envelope mounted on the back of
the RVC Panel swing door

**Two (2) spare DC battery fuses are included in the orange envelope mounted on the
back of the ClearSky PLUS Control Panel swing door
