Prior to the display of color coded temperature data within the
mask region, user must confirm patient core body temperature
before proceeding to temperature monitoring. Do not assume
the default value of 37°C is correct. Patient core body
temperature is used as the best estimate of local brain
temperature, so its accuracy must be assured as a reference
point for thermal dose monitoring. Under-treatment may occur
if the body temperature value entered is greater than the
patient’s actual body temperature. Over-treatment may occur
if the body temperature value entered is less than the patient’s actual body temperature.

CAUTION: Patient Body Temperature Entry - This value should be found through direct
measurement, not assumed. Incorrect body temperatures exceeding 39ºC may affect
the accuracy of the thermal dosage computation resulting in a poor prediction of
thermal dose.
WARNING: Use extreme care when determining patient baseline core body
temperature. Failure to determine an accurate value will result in improper
performance of temperature monitoring software with the potential to cause patient
injury.
WARNING: The temperature value indicated from the NeuroBlate laser probe is not an
accurate measurement of core body temperature. Do NOT use this value.
