Start this second scan (step 2) on MRI
This triggers thermal data receipt at M*Vision
automatically. Do NOT perform image transfer manually from the Philips MRI (DICOM push) for
this step.
WARNING: On Philips MRI, the treatment slice orientation and position of the second
Philips scan (step 2) MUST match the first “header” scan. The ONLY parameters that should
change between each scan is the # dynamics. Use the sequence copy feature to “rerun”
scan 1 with only this two parameter changed to ensure all other parameters match. Failure
to ensure position and orientation are identical may cause thermal monitoring to be
misaligned with the desired heating location.
Note: It is recommended that to stop thermal acquisition on Philips, the scan should be
stopped first on the Philips MR console and then stop the acquisition receipt on M*Vision (i.e.
Select “Stop Acquisition” on M*Vision) in this order.
