2. Click the second menu and choose an output (e.g. Output 1 [1]):
In this example, the Kaleido software registers that Output 1 from the router has a cable that connects
to the BNC connector corresponding to Video 1 on KXI card A. This means that if you have a video on
the monitor wall from “Input A Video 1”, you can right-click the video, choose
Assign [router] input
from the shortcut menu, and choose a router source. The software will make a crosspoint change for
“Output 1” of “NewPhysical Router”:
Note: What you see on the wall is not a list of physical inputs, but of logical inputs (labels). Once you
have established your configuration in XEdit, you always work with logical devices/levels.
Note: There is not yet an automapping feature available for router connections.
There is another function available on the monitor wall: right-click a video and choose Send to
[router] output . This will display a list of outputs for the internal router. It finds what KXI card (on
which frame, if in expansion mode) the video comes from, and then changes the crosspoint on the
internal router so that this source is sent to the chosen destination. This feature has changed from
