4.  Connect the VGA monitor cable to the port on the back of the 

GT7700. 

5.  If a USB printer is to be used, connect the USB cable to the 

USB port on the front or the back of the GT7700. If a non-USB 
printer is to be used, connect the printer cable to the LPT1 port 
on the back of the GT7700.  

6.  Connect the power cord to the back of the GT7700 and plug it 

in receptacle. See Figure 2-3 and Figure 2-4 for the location of 
the AC Line Receptacle. 

7.  Turn on the power to the GT7700 platform by pressing both the 

Main and the Auxiliary switches and wait for the boot sequence 
to complete. 

Note

: 

Some PC-based instruments require that their drivers be 
loaded by the CONFIG.SYS file. This is the reason the 
main power supply (for the controller and PCI bus) is 
turned on at the same time as the auxiliary power supply 
(for the ISA instrumentation).
