The optical module can be powered down with this setting. This can help prevent aging of the laser 

transmitter. If the laser is disabled, then no signal transmission is available

Optical Module Parameters

The connector type is the standard name of the fiber connector that is mounted on the back plate of the 

board. The connector type can be: LC, SC, ST, and NT (Neutrik OpticalCON).

Laser Enable

The optical module can be powered down with this setting. This can help prevent aging of the laser
