Select the

Physical View

tab in the left panel of the MegaRAID

Storage Manager window, and select the icon of an unused drive.

For each drive, the screen displays the port number, enclosure
number, slot number, drive state, drive capacity, and drive
manufacturer.

In the right panel of the MegaRAID Storage Manager window, select
the

Operations

tab.

Select

Make Dedicated Hotspare

Make Global Hotspare

shown in
