Installing MegaRAID Storage Manager

This section explains how to install (or reinstall) MegaRAID Storage
Manager software on your workstation or server for the supported

operating systems: Microsoft

®

Windows,

Red Hat Linux, and SUSE Linux.

6.3.1

Installing MegaRAID Storage Manager Software on Microsoft
Windows

Follow these steps if you need to install MegaRAID Storage Manager
software on a system running Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Microsoft
Windows XP, or Microsoft Windows Vista

®

:

1.

Insert the MegaRAID Storage Manager software installation CD in
the CD-ROM drive.

If necessary, find and double-click the

setup.exe

file to start the

installation program.

2.

When the Welcome screen appears, click

Next

.

If MegaRAID Storage Manager software is already installed on this
system, then an upgraded installation occurs.

3.

Read the screen text and select

Modify

,

Repair

, or

Remove

.

4.

When the next screen appears, read and accept the user license,
and click

Next

.

The Customer Information screen appears, as shown in

Figure 6.1
