Fill the damper for at least 15 seconds.
Guideline
Gas pressure 10 bar (145 psi)
Info
Watch the pressure regulator dial.
Ensure that the damper is filled to the specified pressure.

Close the filling port screw using tap handle

Close filler tap

and remove the damper from the special tool.
–
Tighten the filling port screw.
Guideline
Screw, reservoir filling port M5 3 Nm (2.2 lbf ft)

Measure the overall spring length without a load.

Position the spring with the intermediate retainer.

Clamp the shock absorber into the special tool.

Use a suitable ring with the smallest possible inside diameter of the special
tool. Press directly on the spring.

Release the spring. Remove the shock absorber from the special tool.
