- The exhaust pipeline shall be secured by means of collars through which it can slide and properly
distributed fixed anchorage points.
- The exhaust pipeline and silencer shall be protected and heat-insulated to avoid big heat radiations into the
engine room and the subsequent reduction in the engine performance.
- The exhaust pipeline must be laid for each engine individually. Never put together the gas outlets of various
engines in a single collector.
- For completion of the exhaust pipeline, there must be a condensate trap installed at the lower end of the
last vertical run of exhaust pipe as well as one draining valve (
see Figure 1
).
