3.3.6.1
FINDING KEPCO POWER SUPPLIES ON THE LAN [-1.2K MODELS ONLY]
The PSfind utility is supplied on the CD that comes with the unit, or can be downloaded from the
Kepco web site at www.kepcopower.com/drivers. This utility finds all operational Kepco power
supplies connected to the LAN and then shows the pertinent addresses of the models found. To
run the utility from your PC go to \utilities on the CD. This directory only contains one file
psfind.exe. Copy the file to your computer or run it directly from the CD itself. A separate window
opens as shown on Figure 3-2.

Once the search is completed, all found units are displayed in the Select a Unit window (the
MAC address appears in parentheses); highlighting one of the units found will load that unit's IP,
Network Mask, Gateway and DNS addresses in the NDK Settings on the left side of the window.
If you do not see your device in the Select a Unit window, make sure it is turned on and con-
nected to the network, then click the Search Again button.
• To set a static IP address, enter the static address in the IP ADDRESS field and the
Mask address in the Network Mask field (Figure 3-3 shows a the IP Address, Network
Mask and Gateway changed from that shown in Figure 3-2), then highlight the desired
unit and click the Set button. There will be a short pause while parameters are updated.
If you do not see your device in the “Select a Unit” window, make sure it is turned on and
connected to the network, then click the Search Again button.
• To set DHCP to ON, enter an IP ADDRESS of 0.0.0.0, then highlight the desired unit
and click the Set button. After a few seconds, click Search Again, highlight the desired
unit and click the Set button.
The Baudrate pull-down menu and Advanced button are provided for debug of the unit, provid-
ing access to some internal registers of the interface. Changes in these registers may cause the
unit to become inoperative until power up of the unit occurs. These changes are only temporary,
and are overwritten when the next time the KLP is powered up.
