Information on direct decryption using timers (recordings on encrypted channels):
The "Decryption" fi eld only appears when recording encrypted channels. If you wish
to make the recording unencrypted, use the
buttons to select "Yes"; if you
wish the recording to be made encrypted on the hard disk, select the option "No".
When doing this, note the following:
If two timers are set for encrypted channels, both with decryption set to "On", and
the recording times overlap, it may happen that the fi rst timer makes an unencrypted
recording and the second timer makes an encrypted recording. You can fi nd more
detailed information under "17.2 Common Interface (CI)" on page 133.
Use the cursor buttons
to select the subsequent items and use the numeric keypad to
make the settings. Once all the settings have been made, press the
button to save the
recording settings. You can view the scheduled recordings in the "Timer list" view of the EPG.
