Automatic software update

The receiver automatically searches for any new software available every day when updating 
the tvtv data.

The receiver does not make the changes automatically without your 
approval, but saves them temporarily until the next time the receiver is 
started. The next time the receiver is started you will see the following 
on-screen display.

If new software is found, you will see the following on-screen display the next time you start the 
UFS 906 (the original on-screen displays may vary from these example screenshots):

Press the 

 button to perform the software update.

! Note

Data will be stored! Don't switch off the 
receiver! Receiver will start automatically!

The receiver saves the new data and then restarts.

Do not switch off the receiver during this process; wait until the automatic 
restart has been completed. The software in the unit may otherwise be 
corrupted! You can use the Service menu to check whether the new 
software has been installed. After performing a software update, check the 
time setting on the receiver!

After the restart, the update is complete.
