Software update (by satellite)

After calling up the menu you will

rst see
the following on-screen display:
All available modules/components
for your receiver will be loaded and
then displayed.
Software updates from the satellite are
available for limited periods. If a software
update is no longer available from the
satellite, it can still be downloaded from
the Internet. See also “Software update
by USB in this section”.
The loading process may take
up to 60 minutes
The following on-screen display then
appears:
Use the
buttons to select the
parameters to be updated during the
update procedure.

Show infotext
Press the
button to display the info text for the available downloads. These indicate the main
features of the new operating software, based on which you can decide whether you want to install the
new software on your receiver.
Software update
Select “Yes” here if you wish to install new software; select “No” if you are satis
fi
ed with your old
software version and the changes in the new software are not relevant to you.
Update channel list
Select “Yes” here if you wish to install the new channel list, or “No” if you wish to retain your old channel
list. Prior to this you can however also save your old channel list via the menu “Software Update
by USB”, “Save channel list on a USB device”, so that if you do not like the new channel list you
can revert back to the old one.
If a new channel list is loaded, this will be automatically regenerated after each factory reset (Restore
Factory Default settings) (see “Service Menu”, “Factory Reset”, “Restore channel list”).
