Automatic Timeshift
Basic functions
The UFS 913 provides a special function here. As soon as you switch to a channel, the receiver
automatically starts recording the programme you are viewing to the hard disk in the background. If you
change channel again, the previously stored data is deleted and background recording begins again.
This continuous background recording by the receiver offers you the following options:
- You can rewind back to the time when you switched to this channel, and also fast forward up to the
live signal (
buttons)
- Pause function (
button), the picture is frozen
- You can move forwards or backwards in 30-second steps (
buttons)
If, after viewing a programme for a time, you decide you want to record it, you can do so as from the
point you switched to that channel (see “OTR”).
Prerequisite:
In the menu “Settings”, “User-Defi ned Settings”, “PVR Settings”, the “Automatic
Timeshift” selection must be set to “On”. When setting up an archive hard disk,
the “Timeshift Buffer Size” selection must provide suffi cient hard disk capacity
for timeshift recording (see “Main menu - interfaces”, “Hard disk management”,
“Set up archive hard disk”).
To use the “Automatic Timeshift” function on the UFS 913 you must connect
an external hard disk
*)
to the USB port on the rear of the receiver and set it up as
