2.7 Starting the System
1. Make sure the power switch on the power supply is in ON position.
2. Press the power button -
Tower - press the button on the front.
Rack chassis - press the Power button on the left of the front panel of your NAS
server. Press the button for longer than 1 second.
3. Wait for the server to boot up. The boot up process takes approximately 5 minutes.
2.8 Shutting Down the System
1. Shut down the system pressing the power button once. The whole shutdown process
might take seconds or minutes until data can all be safely distributed to disk drives.
2. To shut down the server from the management page you can find the button on the
upper right of the NASFinder screen.
3. To configure automatic power-on and shutdown, you can select System > Maintenance
> Reboot/Shutdown on a management console. You can set daily or day in month
schedules. See page 64 for more information.
