Hot-swap backplane assembly removal

Before you begin

Read “Safety information” on page 176.

Turn off the server, if it is on.

To remove the hot-swap backplane assembly, do the
following:

1. Remove the side cover and front bezel, see “Option

installation” on page 125.

2. Disconnect the cables attached the hot-swap

backplane assembly.

3. Remove the 5 pack cage assembly screws

4. Slide the 5 pack cage assembly out of the server

5. Remove the hot-swap backplane assembly screws

.3/

to separate the card from the cage assembly.
