OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTION MANUAL
HBR204-MU-6-eng.doc
THIS DOCUMENT IS THE PROPERTY OF HÜETTE BOHRTECHNIK GMBH - TOTAL OR PARTIAL REPRODUCTION IS PROHIBITED
manual must be consulted (
☞
"TRANSPORT").
Before starting work, the operator must ensure that the following conditions are met:
-
stabilizers lowered and set on ground without raising tracks
-
counterweights correctly applied (optional)
Check that there are no obstructions to raising the mast and to drilling such as overhead
electrical lines or underground pipelines.
If the machine will be working near overhead electric lines, power should, if possible, be cut off
to those lines until work is complete. Otherwise observe the following precautions:
1)
one person on the ground must constantly observe the distance between the machine
and the electrical line and inform the operator if the machine gets too close;
2)
the operator must pay due attention to signals and warnings from the assistant;
3)
slow the speed of movement of the machine and of the joint when work is performed
near electrical power lines;
4)
keep a safe distance from overhead power lines (
☞
"SAFETY INFORMATIONS
– Work
area");
5)
refer to local regulations and adhere to those should they be more restrictive.
WARNING!
Contact of a part of the machine with an electrical line causes risk of electrocution for
the operator using the control on the machine and persons in the vicinity.
The stability and anchoring of the machine must always be checked, considering the possible
stresses from manoeuvres which can be performed, the loads present, the affect of external
factors (terrain giving way, decrease in resistance due to infiltration of water, etc.).
During movement of suspended loads, the operator must be attentive to the trajectory of the
load and ensure that it does not go beyond the pre-established trajectory (for example avoid
pendulum movement).
Before moving the mast, the operator must make sure that the tool and the mast tip are raised
and free of any obstacle.
Before any change in the working position of the machine which may be the a source of
incipient danger, the operator must sound the horn to inform persons in the working area of the
manoeuvre..
