Moving and positioning
Before moving the machine forwards or backwards, and before moving the mast, the operator
must ensure that there are no other persons in a hazardous position or near the machine.
All machine movement must be signalled by an acoustic signal. If the
operator discovers that an acoustic signal does not work, he must
immediately request assistance from maintenance staff.
WARNING!
Any movement of the machine from one work area to another must take place with the
mast horizontal and along the longitudinal axis of the machine. With the mast in any
other position, only small movements may be made as required to adjust the work
position between one hole and the next (
☞
"TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS -
Stability").
In conditions of poor visibility, the operator must be guided by an assistant on the ground
who signals the manoeuvre to be performed.
Comply with requirements of machine stability included in this manual to keep the machine
from overturning (
☞ "
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS - Stability").
Always make sure that the work area includes sufficient room for the machine to manoeuvre
without interfering with other machines or equipment .
Check that there are no impediments caused by the location of hoses or bundles of hoses,
especially when making small fine-tuning movements of the machine and with certain
operational set-ups of the mast.
If during travel the machine starts sliding sideways down a slope, the operator must steer the
machine downhill. Avoid changing direction of the machine on a slope because this may cause
the machine to overturn or slide sideways.
Before moving the machine, even slightly, it is necessary to comply with the following
instructions:
a)
disconnect auxiliary equipment (compressors, pumps, injectors, etc.);
b)
disconnect any anchoring systems from the machine;
c)
check that the route does not have any obstacles or height differences that would
compromise the stability of the machine during movement;
d)
make sure that no-one is working on the machine or is present in its immediate vicinity;
e)
when the new work position is reached restore all necessary conditions for the correct
operation of the machine.
Before transporting the machine with another means of transport, the instructions in this
