Mast with gear motor (DM 300
– 150 kN) – Reduction of number of chain
links
Due to wear, the chain is subject to lengthening that cannot be completely compensated by the
tensioners on the carriage (1).
Maximum admissible lengthening: 2%.
It is necessary to remove chain lengths as follows:
Head travel 6900-8400 mm (150 kN)
-
Remove six links P on the chain.
WARNING!
Removal must always include two links P.
Number of times the tensioners (1) have

REPLACE THE CHAIN
- Place the machine on a solid, level surface, possibly
concrete or asphalt.
- Place the mast in a horizontal position.
- Lock the head carriage on the mast with brackets.
- Slacken chain tension.
Tensioner hydraulic cylinder.
Disconnect the oil feeding hose. Loosen the fitting
slowly to release the oil pressure. Place caps on
disconnected hydraulic components
To facilitate the outflow of oil from the tensioner
slowly move the geared engine (9) in 'forward head'
mode.
- Disconnect the chain from the head carriage (2).
- Flatten on one side the head of the two pins (K) using
a grinder.
- Use a punch to expel the two pins (K).
- Connect the chain to the chain attachments (2).
- Bring the chain up to the correct tension.
