Stability"
To shut down the motor, the operator must comply with the
following procedure:
-
set the engine speed to idling (S106);
-
turn the ignition key counterclockwise (S101);
-
Check that the indicator lights are off.
Before disconnecting the battery, wait 60 seconds after shutting down the diesel engine.
NOTE: It is recommended that after prolonged operation under full load conditions, the engine
should be allowed to continue idling for a few minutes so that the temperature can stabilize
before shutting off. For more detailed information, consult the engine user manual annexed to
the present manual.
When leaving the machine unattended occasionally or at the end of a shift, the operator must
always remove and retain possession of the ignition key, however brief the absence; when
work is finished, the key must be handed over to the site manager or foreman, or left in a
designated location.
In the event of conditions arising that may place the operator or other persons in danger,
the normal stopping procedure must be ignored and the emergency button (S105, S110,
S26, P7) depressed immediately.
