Hospira GemStar System Operating Manual

Chapter 2. Basic Operation

Loading the Cassette

Identify the four black cassette latches inside the cassette pocket.

Ensure slide clamp or lower CAIR

clamp is open prior to inserting

cassette.

Line up the cassette as shown

(with the flow stop button facing

the pump).

Insert the cassette into the cassette

pocket by pushing firmly along the

entire cassette until it is firmly

seated.
