Hospira GemStar System Operating Manual 

250 mL Lockbox 

(List 13024-01)

Open the lockbox (

A

).

Flip the top door up (

B

).

Align the pump with the lockbox 

(

C

).

4

Slide the pump down into the 

lockbox until fully seated.

Flip the top door down.

Connect the pump set to the bag 

and prime.

7

Place the flexible container inside 

the lockbox with the 

administrative port down (

).

Hang the bag on the hook inside 

the lockbox (

E

).

Ensure slide clamp is open prior to 

inserting cassette.

Load the cassette (

).

CAUTION: Ensure all four 

cassette latches are clearly 

visible after the cassette is 

installed. Refer to 

Loading the 

Cassette 

on page 35.

Ensure the tubing will not be 

pinched when closing the lockbox.
