back D-ring
is properly
located in the
middle of your
shoulder blades.
Reach back,
over your shoul-
der with your
elbow pointing
upwards. You
should just be
able to grasp
the D-ring with
your fingertips.
Have a co-
worker ensure its location visually on
your behalf. Readjust the harness and D-
ring position if you can not complete this
action.
STEP 6
(figure 8F) Now, check that all
belts and straps are secure and snug. Be
sure they do not
bind or restrict
movement.
Secure all
straps into the
keepers or tuck
them into the
harness. When
crouching, your
sub pelvic strap
should provide
a seat for the
buttocks in the
harness.

FALL INDICATOR EQUIPPED
The Fall Indicator feature is a
visible warning device which alerts the
user that the harness has been subject-
ed to a force serious enough to require
that the harness be removed from serv-
ice. This
feature assists the user’s inspection of
the harness and webbing prior to each
use.
The Fall Indicator is a fold over portion of
the harness webbing stitched in a square
pattern below the back strap. If the Fall
indicator is deployed, a warning label
will be visible. Remove the harness
from service.
