Notes
You cannot specify multiple storage destinations for one session.
To change the session setting, delete the session setting by executing
delete
log-session SESSION
, and then specify the setting again.
Before specifying the size, use the
show sp
command to check the free capacity, and
then specify the size within the amount of free capacity.
If you specify a multiple of 1,024 (B or KB) for the size, it is set as the nearest multiple
of 1 (KB or MB) in the configuration.
To use the remote setting, the syslog daemon program must be running on the
destination host and the host must be configured so that it can receive the syslog
information from each SP card.
Do not set a loopback address (127.0.0.0 to 127.255.255.255) as the IPv4 address.
Do not set a class-D or class-E address as the IPv4 address.
A global or site-local address can be specified as the IPv6 address.
If a large amount of log information is generated at the same time, some of syslog
information might be missing.
You can register no more than four log sessions.
If
log-session MNG
has not been set,
log-session MNG local 2 MB
is set by
default.
If you execute
delete log-session SESSION
,
log mng SESSION
, which uses the
session specified to be deleted, is also deleted.
