20.2 Storing and restoring the configuration in an external device
This section explains how to store the SP configuration on a server outside of the SP, such
as an FTP server, and how to restore the stored configuration.
20.2.1 Storing
1.
Use the
export
command to save the startup configuration file on a server (in the
/bar/baz
directory of the FTP server whose IP address is 192.168.0.100).
SP01# export conf start ftp://[email protected]/bar/baz/start
20.2.2 Restoring
1.
Use the
import
command to restore the startup configuration from the server (in the
/bar/baz
directory of the FTP server whose IP address is 192.168.0.100).
SP01# import conf ftp://[email protected]/bar/baz/start start
2.
Use the
inactivate
and
activate
commands to restart the target NIF equipped
with the SP.
# inactivate nif 1
# activate nif 1
Notes:
1.
Use an FTP server or a TFTP server.
2.
Add the server to the SP configuration and the CSU configuration so that the FTP
server is accessible from the SP interface specified by using the CSU configuration
command
SP-port
and its subordinate command
peer-control
.
3.
The file name specified for the
import
command URL is always
start
.
