Ϝ
Observe all of the operating instructions for the devices used with the product, especially those relating to how and
where the devices may be installed, operated and used. If in doubt, refer to the manufacturers of those devices used
with the product!
Ϝ
Do not subject the product to extreme temperatures of over 60°C or below -35°C, strong vibrations or high mechanical
stresses.
Ϝ
The product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children! If the product is being used to store electrical
tools, there is a risk of a potentially life-threatening electric shock.
Ϝ
In the event of correct and proper use, the housing is protected according to IP64 („dustproof“ and „protected against
the ingress of water sprayed from all directions“). This is not valid if the partially stamped „knock out“ hole on the bottom
of the product has been broken!
Ϝ
Commercial facilities must comply with accident prevention regulations for electrical systems and equipment, as drawn
up by the association of industrial trade associations!
Instructions for setting up the product
Ϝ
The product may not by submerged in water or set up in locations that are easily flooded.
Ϝ
If the product is operated in or under water then water will penetrate into the GARDEN POWER BOX. There is a risk of
fatal injury due to an electric shock!
Ϝ
Set up the product in such a way that it is not possible for it to slip into a body of water (e.g. garden pond).
Ϝ
Only a maximum of 2/3 of the product may be buried or covered. It is important to ensure that e.g. the product is not
surrounded by accumulated water after a rain storm that could penetrate into the interior of the product.
Ϝ
Any type of manipulation to the product will invalidate the guarantee cover and it will no longer be suitable for storing
electrical tools. The IP64 protection rating will also no longer be valid. If the product continues to be used after this type
of manipulation, there is a risk of fatal injury due to an electric shock!
Ϝ
Set up the product in such a way that it is out of the reach of children or protected against being accessed by children.
Placing cables/devices in the power box
Ϝ
The product is designed for devices up to a maximum of 240V that are fitted with flexible connection cables with a
maximum external diameter of 10mm.
Ϝ
Disconnect the main power cable from the mains network before carrying out any work on the inside of the product.
Ϝ
Ensure when locking the product that the locking device on the front of the product clicks audibly into place.
ATTENTION: Important!
Each of the 6 cable glands has a special seal consisting of two halves. Due to the material used, it is possible when opening
the box that both halves stick together and remain stuck in one side of the lid. In this case, carefully separate both halves (do
not use any tools, simply separate them carefully using your fingers). Put each half of the seal aligned in the correct direction
into the corresponding slots. The product‘s leak-tightness against the ingress of moisture can only be guaranteed when
these sealing inserts have been placed into the upper and lower sections of the box for each cable gland! If this is not the
case, moisture will penetrate into the power box and there is a risk of fatal injury due to an electric shock!
Ϝ
Place, for example, a suitable power strip into the power box and connect up the plugs for your devices e.g. external
lights, pond pumps or fountains.
Ϝ
Guide the cables through the openings to the outside. A (removable) strain relief clamp also fixes the plugs/cables in
place and protects them.
It is only permitted to lay one single cable through each of the cable glands!
Ϝ
Before you close the lid, make absolutely sure that the cables are not jammed in the lid and cannot be damaged as a
result. In addition, the protection against moisture would no longer be guaranteed in this case!
Ϝ
Close the lid and apply light pressure to the front middle until the locking device clicks into place.
Ϝ
Lay all of the cables so that nobody can trip over them and the cables cannot be damaged (by cars, garden equipment, etc.).
Ϝ
Before you open the product again, wipe away any water that may have collected on the product so that it cannot run
into the interior of the product.
Ϝ
Ensure that the seals do not become dirty because this can adversely affect their performance; water could then penetrate
into the interior of the power box!
Ϝ
Check whether the interior of the product is dry and clean every time you open it. Any moisture that may have penetrated
into the product indicates that the seals may be damaged or that the product was not correctly closed.
Ϝ
Transformers become hot when they are in use. If multiple transformers are enclosed in the product this may also increase
their operating temperatures, which may in certain circumstances have a detrimental effect on the service lives of the
transformers. Contact the manufacturers of your electrical devices for more information on this subject!
Ϝ
Do not overfill the interior of the product (e.g. with cables) in order to avoid pressure being exerted on the lid from the
inside (if this is the case, the seals may no longer correctly seal the power box).
