CAUTION! Risk of Cuts or Abrasions. Wear protective
gloves and safety glasses during installation.
NOTICE: Handle refractory panels with care. Refractory
may chip or crack if dropped or impacted.

Screw gun equipped with 1/4 in. socket or
1/4 IN. wrench or socket

INSTALLATION
1. Remove glass from the front of the appliance. Re
-
move all shipping materials from inside the firebox.
See Figure 11.9.

2. Carefully remove top refractory by straightening the
retaining tabs. Set refractory panel aside for later
use. See Figure 11.9.
3. Separate the shipping bracket from the log grate by
cutting the zip tie with a utility knife. See Figure 11.10

4. Bend shipping bracket up slightly, exposing the two
screws that retain the shipping bracket to the log
grate. Remove the screws and discard shipping
bracket. See Figure 11.11.

5. Slide the two left base refractory pieces and one right
base refractory piece forward or remove completely.
See Figure 11.10.
6. Using a flat screwdriver, straighten hand bends on the
refractory tabs at the top of the side spacers (left and
right) to allow the side spacers to be moved forward
about three inches. See Figure 11.12.
