Note: The XTE and border alert cannot be turned on together.
1. Press the MENU key to open the [MAIN MENU].
2. Select [ALERT SETTINGS], then press the left button .
3. Select [ARRIVAL/ANCHOR ALERT], then press the left button .
4. Select [XTE/BORDER ALERT], then press the left button .
5. Select [OFF TRACK] or [XTE], then press the left button .
Cursor moves to the value of [ALERT RANGE] of [OFF TRACK] or [XTE].
6. Rotate the scrollwheel to set the range, then press the left button.
7. Close the menu.
To deactivate either alarm, select [OFF] at step 5.
5.7.4 How to set Intrusion point
The proximity alert shows you when your vessel nears a waypoint by the distance set
for that waypoint on the waypoints list. The distance is called the proximity alert radius
(see section 5.1.3). When the intrusion point alert is active, a red dashed circle marks
the proximity alert radius.
1. Press the MENU key to open the [MAIN MENU].
2. Select [ALERT SETTINGS], then press the left button .
3. Select [ARRIVAL/ANCHOR ALERT], then press the left button .
4. Select [INTRUSION POINT ALERT], then press the left button .
5. Select [ON], then press the left button .
6. Close the menu.
To deactivate either alarm, select [OFF] at step 5.
5.7.5 How to set ship speed alert
The ship speed alarm warns you when your boat’s speed is within or over the speed
range set.
1. Press the MENU key to open the [MAIN
MENU].
2. Select [ALERT SETTINGS], then press the
left button .
3. Select [SPEED/TRIP ALERT], then press the
left button .
4. Select [SHIP SPEED ALERT], then press the
left button .
The alert range is decided from
[XTE/BORDER ALERT(radius)]
of [ARRIVAL/ANCHOR
ALERT] menu.
