5. VIDEO PLOTTER OPERATION
The video plotter has the following functions:
• Own ship and other ship’s track plotting
• Enter waypoints and marks.
• Creates and displays routes.
• Able to save marks and tracks on removable USB memory.
Note: This section shows the operation under the ST-BY mode.
5.1 Track Display
The video plotter shows the own ship’s track on the display. The other ship’s tracks
are able to display with AIS transponder connection.
The own ship and other ship’s track are available to record as routes (refer to
paragraph 5.5.1). You can also change the own ship track color each time the system
is turned on (refer to paragraph 5.1.5).
5.1.1 Symbol
Own ship mark
You can plot the own ship mark ( ż ) on the location of your ship. The own ship mark
shows present location of ship and following functions.
• Course line: White line from own ship mark to course direction.
• Bearing line: Cyan line from own ship mark to bearing direction.
• Current vector: Three layer current line enabled with specified colors (external cur-
rent data required).
Note: The course line does not appear with the bearing line simultaneously.
Other ship mark
You can plot other ship marks (

) on the location of another ship. The GPS buoy mark
( Ƒ ) available to plot on the screen.
