Description

Trunk Mode

Select the trunk mode to be used.

Possible values:

•

Off

(default value) The trunk mode is not used.

•

Client

: the media gateway is operated as SIP client.

•

Server

: the media gateway is operated as SIP server.

Registrar

Only for Trunk Mode =

Off

or Trunk Mode =

Client

Enter the IP address or domain name (FQDN) of the SIP regis-
trar or the SIP proxy server. The maximum number of charac-
ters is 40.

Outbound Proxy

Only for Trunk Mode =

Server

Enter the name or IP address of the SIP outbound proxy server.

A maximum of 32 characters can be entered.

Here you must enter a name only if, for all SIP sessions, the
communication is not to be direct but via a further proxy.

Enter a name or IP address only if this is explicitly specified by
the provider.

Realm

Enter a new domain name or a new IP address for the SIP
proxy server.

If you do not enter a domain name, the name in the Registrar
field is used.

Enter a name only if this is explicitly specified by the provider.

Protocol

Select the protocol to be used for data transport.

Possible values:

udp

(default value) or

tcp

Enter the Port via which the data is to be transported.

The ports can be provider-specific.

The default value is

Enter the username for authentication if your VoIP provider has
