(7)  While opening the claw section by pulling the trigger, 

withdraw the setting tool from the distal end of endoscope.

(8)  When using a hood, attach it according to “3.3.4 Attaching 

the Hood”.

(9)  If a hood is not used, while taking care not to scratch the 

balloon with the tip of the claw section, attach a fixing 
rubber to the balloon fixing portion on the side of the 

bending portion as in steps (1) to (7).

[Note]

If the balloon is strongly scratched with the tip of the claw 
section, the balloon may be damaged.

3.3.5  Attaching the Hood (Only When Necessary)

Attach a hood to hold the endoscope in an appropriate position for close-up observation 

during an examination.

WARNING

Do not press the hood against the digestive tract wall with undue force. 
It may damage mucous membrane.

Fix the hood securely to the endoscope before use. Otherwise, the 
hood may drop.

CAUTION

Do not grasp the bending portion forcefully when attaching or removing 
the hood. It may damage the endoscope.
