2.3 Nomenclature and Functions of Endoscope
This product consists of the following parts.
[Note] Use the video processor to assign functions on each scope switch.
For details, see the operation manual of the video processor.
Waterproof Cap
Shields the electric contacts from the
exposure to fluids.
Video Connector
Connects to the video processor.
Lock Handle
Fixes video connector to
the video processor.
Interconnect Cable
Connects the video connector and the LG
connector.
LG
Flexible Portion
Contains light guide, air/water supply tube, suction tube
and cables.
LG Connector
Connects to the light source.
Balloon Air Feed Inlet
Connects to a syringe or the tube
kit to supply air to or to remove
air from the balloon attached to
the distal end of the endoscope.
Air Supply Tube
Supplies air from the pump of the light source to the distal end
of the endoscope.
Light Incident Distal Face
Transmits the light from the lamp of the light source to
the distal end of the endoscope.
Suction Connector
Accepts the tube from the suction unit.
S Connector
Accepts S-cord when using electrosurgical
instrument (electric cautery).
Water Feed Connector
Connects to the water tank.
Ventilation Connector
Connects to air leak tester
or ventilation adapter.
Light Guide Rod
Connects to the light source.
