1.7.2 Transportation and Storage
WARNING
Contact your local FUJIFILM dealer when this product is returned for
repair. Be sure to clean and disinfect (or sterilize) this product before
returning for repair. A returned product which is not cleaned and
disinfected (or sterilized) may increase infection control risks to users,
service personnel or other persons in contact with it.
CAUTION
Store the endoscope under the storage conditions described in “Main
Specification.”
CAUTION
Store the endoscope in an exclusive carrying case when transporting
the endoscope. Not doing so may cause a failure.
1.7.3 Storage and Management
WARNING
Endoscopes are reusable devices subject to routine wear and tear.
Many factors can contribute to the reuse life of any instrument.
Besides clinical use, routine handling as well as repeated cleaning
and disinfection (or sterilization) can affect the durability of parts and
materials. Periodic inspections should be performed to check the
integrity of all external endoscope surfaces as well as components.
Abnormalities and/or material changes including but not limited
to cracking, flaking, pitting, corrosion, etc. which can create sharp
edges, compromise sealed surfaces and/or negatively affect device
functionality are indications for returning an instrument for evaluation or
repair. Have this product checked by service personnel once every six
months or once every 100 cases. Do not disassemble or modify this
product.
