Overseas use
Preparing and checking for using
FOMA terminal overseas

Overseas usage fees are charged together with your
monthly usage fees. Depending on overseas
telecommunications carriers used, overseas usage fees
may be charged in a bill of the next or subsequent
month. In addition, usages in the same charging period
may be charged in different months.

Using i-mode
For displaying sites via i-mode overseas, set iMenu →
"English iMenu" → "Options" → "International Settings" →
"i-mode services Settings". For details, see "Mobile Phone
User's Guide [i-mode]".

Using network services
When using Voice Mail or Call forwarding service
overseas, you need to subscribe to the necessary services
and start Remote control setting in advance.

■ Connecting to the telecommunications carrier
When the FOMA terminal is turned ON overseas, it
automatically searches for a telecommunications carrier
and is connected to an available network. → P392, 393
■ Display overview
The mark indicating the network in use and the name of
the telecommunication carrier being connected appear.

The mark does not appear while using FOMA Network.

manual. Please be careful that you are charged also for
calls and/or communications, if any, occurring after
misplacement or stealage.
