Torque de-rate as applied by Primary and Second-
ary Inducements will go away shortly after (1-2
minutes) the issue that caused the Inducement
goes away (the Fault(s) or Warning(s) is(are)
cleared).
SPN 3714 – FMI 31 = Torque De-rate, Condition
Exists
The key to clearing the Torque De-rate is to clear
any other Faults/Warnings and the run the engine
for a few minutes.
When working to clear Faults/Warnings, be sure
to power cycle the system after making repairs to
ensure that the operator display refreshes the Ac-
tive Faults screen. Best practice is to power down
the unit prior to making repairs, and power back
up to verify.
Once the only Active Fault remaining is SPN
3714- FMI 31, run the engine for several min-
utes to clear the torque de-rate. When the amber
WARN icon goes out, full power will be restored.
If the Inducement Strategy is allowed to progress
to Final Inducement, and additional step is re-
quired to clear both the Torque De-rate and Final
Inducement faults.
