rear of the paver will lower.
This switch allows the operator to elevate
the rear of the tractor to give maximum
ground clearance for loading the paver or
traveling over rough ground or obstacles.
For additional traction during paving, set
the clearance at about the halfway point.
Use the frame raise to adjust auger height
for paving conditions.
7. Brake Switch - The brake switch engages
and releases the brakes. The brakes will
not release until sufficient system pressure
is built up and the switch is set to the RE-
LEASE position. Use it only for parking and
emergency stops.
Auto-brake mode allows the operator to
have the electrical system automatical-
ly set the brake when the FNR handle is
brought to the Neutral position, using the
Neutral Limit switch in the FNR handle.
Auto-Brake mode is also not allowed when
the Range Switch is in the Travel position.
8. Throttle Override - high or low RPMs - The
engine has only two speeds. Use IDLE to
start and warm up the engine, hydraulic oil,
and screed. Use the FULL position for all
other functions. Switch to FULL only after
the engine and hydraulic oil have warmed
up.
9. Auto Throttle - enable or disable When
this mode is enabled, the RPM indication
on the Main Screen will turn green, and
the engine throttle will automatically go
to Full speed (2250 RPM) when the FNR
is brought out of neutral and the brake is
released. Throttle will return to Idle (900
RPM) when the FNR is brought back to
neutral.
10. Travel/Pave Speed Toggle - The speed
switch has 3 positions:
• TRAVEL - Use for roading or traveling
around the job site.
• P/2 - use for paving in normal drive.
• P/4 - (if the paver is not equipped with
the optional Front Wheel Assist, it op-
erates the same as for P/2.) Use this
position to change to front wheel assist.
Engaging the optional front wheel assist
will reduce the paver speed by 30%.
Failure to stop the paver before changing
from TRAVEL to PAVE or the opposite way,
could result in serious injury or damage to
the paver.
The paver must be stopped before chang-
ing from TRAVEL to PAVE or back the op-
posite way.
11. Emergency Stop Switch - This push-button
switch, when activated, immediately shuts
down the engine. The engine can not be
started while this switch is pushed down.
12. FNR Travel Lever - Pull up on the lock ring
and slowly move the propulsion control
lever forward or reverse to propel the ma-
chine. Place the propulsion control lever in
the center position to stop the machine and
apply the service brake.
13. Detrack Warning Light and Override (Light-
ed push button). A loss of Track Tension on
either side will trigger a De-Track alarm,
and the De-Track Override Button will illu-
minate.
In a De-Track Condition, Propel will be
suspended, regardless of the Propel Com-
mand. Pressing the Button will override the
condition and re-enable Propel. A return-
to-neutral on the FNR is NOT required to
clear a De-Track Condition or Override De-
Track Propel Suspension. Note that track
damage can occur if track tension is not
restored and propel is enabled.
Additionally, an alert will be shown on the
DP710 Display.
