Operations Manual
CR 820 T
Operation of Control Interlocks
The engine cannot be started unless both of the
propulsion control levers arein neutral (the center
position) and the emergency stop switches are dis-
engaged (pulled up). For the starting sequence, see
“Starting the Engine” on page 7-5 in the Standard
Operating Procedures.
Anytime either emergency stop switch is engaged,
the fuel supply will be interrupted to the engine and
the machine will not start until the ESTOP are re-
set (though power will still be on, and the starter will
crank).

ing and orientation.
Before starting or operating the equipment, be sure
that no personnel will be endangered. Ensure all per-
sonnel are clear before applying power or operating

Make sure that all warning devices are working.
Do not operate or work on the equipment during se-

damage to the equipment.
Only mount and dismount this equipment using the
steps and handrails provided on the screed. If the
screed has been removed, a suitable ladder can be
substituted. Always maintain 3 points of contact, both
hands and one foot or one hand and both feet.
Keep ladders and work areas clean and free of

Operator’s Manual
Crushing or Cutting Prevention
Make all repairs with the equipment parked on a lev-

fall or roll while working on or under them.
Do not work on any machine that is supported only
by lift jacks or a lifting device. Always block up a com-

Stay clear of all rotating and moving parts.
Keep objects away from moving components. They
