Figure 9.18 - Secondary Air Cleaner Element
Remove the secondary filter element (4) out of the
housing.
Install the replacement elements into the housing.
Position the cover on the housing and set the four
latches (1).
Check Air Inlet Connections

Inspect the inlet (1) piping for cracked hoses, loose
clamps, or punctures that can allow dirt and debris
to enter the engine.
Tighten or replace parts as necessary to make sure
the air inlet system does not leak.
The air inlet system includes the piping from the air
cleaner to the turbocharger and the piping from the
turbo charger to the after cooler or inlet manifold
depending on model.
Fuel System
Check Fuel Level
Keep away from sparks or open flame while work -
ing with fuel.

- Fuel Gauge
Check the fuel level on gauge (1) before each work
period to ensure you have enough fuel to operate
for the desired period of time.
Refer to the engine manufacturer’s manual to de-
termine what grade of fuel to use for your operating
temperature and conditions.
Fill the tank as needed.
